Please note that no new submissions will be considered until after the end of the Writers' Strike.

SUBMISSIONS:

If you would like to have your young talent considered for representation, please send an email to Info@coastaltalentkids.com with two small color snapshots and information including: Talent Name, Age, Height, Sizes, Experience and Training in the industry. If your child has a resume, please send that as well. (We will consider talent up to twenty years old if they can believably pass as a teen!) Make sure that you send contact phone numbers and where you are located.

Please do not send files larger than 200k. Be sure to type "SUBMISSION" and your child's name in the SUBJECT line so that your email does not end up in SPAM. If we are interested, we will contact you. If you do not get a response, you are welcome to re-submit during our open auditions.  These are usually held early spring and fall; and will be posted on the website.  .

Children over six years old should have a short (around 1 minute or less) monologue prepared. If they can read, they will also be asked to do a cold reading.

WHAT DO WE LOOK FOR? (There's no magic formula, but...)

Personality... Good reader... Well behaved without being overly subdued... A spark of mischief moderated by intelligence... Able to take direction... Parents who are supportive without being obtrusive... Able to hear constructive criticism and to make changes accordingly... Able to work with "strangers"... Flexibility and availability..

HOW TO INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF BEING CHOSEN FOR REPRESENTATION:

The best thing to do to increase your odds of being chosen is to take acting classes from a reputable school. (See links page.) You should also consider/continue pursuing theatrical, student film and indie film opportunities to add to your resume. Work on finding a monologue that shows your personality. READ! Reading helps actors become better at cold reading--a MUST in the business. Professional photos are NOT a requirement for consideration, so do not spend your money on expensive photos. Most agencies have a certain style/look that they require, so save your money until you find an agent!

INVITATIONS TO SHOWS:

If your child is performing in a regional production and you would like to invite a CTK representative, please send an email with "INDUSTRY INVITATION" in the subject line. Obviously, it would be impossible to attend every show, but we will try to attend as many as we can.
